Saranac, Michigan
History Settled in 1836 by Judge Jefferson Morrison who purchased a huge tract of land. The name Saranac came from a town in New York. A highlight of the town is the rejuvenated Grand Trunk Depot Museum. A Dutch style woodside caboose is on display and if you are a railroad buff you won’t want to miss it. It traveled the Grand Trunk locally throughout it’s life on the rails.
