Georgetown Township, located in Ottawa County, was first settled in 1836 by Hiram and Samuel Jenison as a logging community. Traces of Georgetown’s logging past remain to this day, including a museum located at Hager Harwood Park. The township is home to six parks, a biking trail, a sports complex, and soccer fields. The Georgetown Ice Center plays host to adult and children’s hockey leagues, and a public library offers a variety of educational programs for residents of all ages.
