Coral is located in the northern part of Maple Valley Township in Montcalm County.  Coral celebrated its Centenial in 1962.  There is a cannon that sits in Memorial Park, which was commissioned by the town to be made for local celebrations. 

Coral is primarily an agricultural and summer tourist community with several lakes nearby. 

 

HISTORY 

Montcalm County was established by the Michigan Legislature as an independent political unit on March 29, 1850.  The first county seat was located in Greenville.  It wa then moved to Stanton because it was considered to be the geographical center of the eastern 16 townships.
