Located 20 minutes north of the Grand Rapids, Cedar Springs is a city in Kent County, Michigan. It had a population of 3,509 at the 2010 census. Cedar Springs were established in 1856 as a lumber town. The community got their name from the cedar grove that bordered fine springs. The city had a large number of gravels and lumber mills.
 
 The census carried out in 2010 indicated that out of the 3,509 inhabitants, there were 1,215 households and 887 families that lived in the city.  Also known as the ‘Red Flannel Town’, Cedar Springs city is the home of the Red Flannel Festival that is an event that takes place annually to celebrate the clothing. The red flannel that is mostly worn by hunters and Santa Claus is originally from this city where it produced red flannel underwear during the great depression, and it was in high demand. The city has great potential for economic and residential growth.
